The Change4Life service is available in Kensington and Chelsea, and Westminster to support children, young people and families most at risk of poor health outcomes to eat well and keep active.
Change4Life are running two free upcoming in person interactive training sessions on Thursday 6 March and Wednesday 26 February.
For those working with children of all ages in all settings - Sugar Smart training workshop for staff and volunteers - Thursday 6 March:
This practical workshop aims to support staff and volunteers working with children, young people and families with evidence-based advice about oral health, healthy eating and reducing sugar. It also aims to support staff and volunteers in introducing actions that promote oral health and sugar reduction and raise awareness of the local health services that are available to support children and their families.
For those working with young children aged 1-4 years and involved in regular food provision - Food and Drink provision for young people using the Eat Better Start Better framework session - Wednesday 26 February:
This training session aims to support early years settings to provide balanced and nutritious meals in line with the requirements of the EYFS. This training uses the nutritional guide provided by the Eat Better Start Better framework. The session also highlights updated information provided by the Department for Education including Food Safety.
