We're searching for Information and Advice Pathfinders - an assessor level role in which we're keen to emphasise the importance of working in community spaces and finding the right pathways to solutions for our clients.
This role is perfect for a candidate who wants to deliver an immediate impact in the Kensington and Chelsea community and is excited about exposure to a range of clients and workstreams, through a combination of:
- Delivering a gold-standard of issue assessment and triage for clients, by assessing their need for welfare benefits, debt, and housing advice, as well as other advice areas.
- Immersing yourself within the whole service and our local community: providing clients with clear and relevant information about the information, advice and support available to them both locally and nationally. This will be delivered within vibrant community settings and through crucial remote channels such as via telephone and webchat.
- Engaging with your work across a range of varied services, with opportunities to work with prisoners at HMP Wormwood Scrubs, bereaved and survivors of the Grenfell Fire, as well as work at our innovative Help and Advice Hubs and income maximisation services.
- Showing leadership for our volunteers by supporting their learning and development within the organisation.
- Investing in your own self-development by engaging with sector-leading in-house and external training, and building your network and resources from partnerships in the local community.
As an organisation we're invested in the success of this role by maintaining a Signposting Index, which we review quarterly, to ensure we stay on top of all available information and advice pathways for clients locally, regionally and nationally. Similarly, we've built strong community ties so that our Pathfinders work in supportive environments in which referring into partners is smooth and productive for our client groups.
Contract type: Permanent.
