Do you work or volunteer in your community? Are you passionate about making your neighbourhood more resilient to climate risks and extreme weather events?
The Climate Connected Communities programme is looking for community representatives across London to join a brand-new programme designed to strengthen local resilience.
Led by Communities Prepared of Groundwork South, Groundwork London, and London Resilience, this five-month initiative (May–September 2025) will equip community representatives with the knowledge, skills, and connections to help their communities prepare for, respond to, and recover from climate challenges.
Who Can Take Part?
Looking for active community representatives, whether you volunteer, work in the community, support a neighbourhood group, or play a key role in a faith or grassroots organisation. You don’t need to be a climate expert, just someone who is trusted, engaged, and eager to make a difference.
What’s Involved?
Participants will gain access to:
- Monthly network calls connecting with 50+ other London-based community representatives
- High-quality training in community climate resilience and preparedness
- Guest speakers, scenario-based activities, and a resilience guide
- Two in-person events in London: a launch event and a final celebration
- A networking platform to collaborate and share learning
- An access fund available for those who need financial support to participate
