Marking Narratives with Issam Kourbaj at Shubbak Festival 2025
Marking Narratives is a community programme led by Syrian-born artist Issam Kourbaj.
Through mark-making as cultural storytelling, this programme brings together Arab and SWANA (Southwest Asian and North African) communities in West London, exploring creativity, well-being, and themes of solidarity, resilience, and shared humanity, all central to Kourbaj’s artistic practice.
Return to Dreamphone, exhibition and unconference
Meet us at Barham Park Studios for Return to Dreamphone, a solo exhibition by ACAVA artist-in-residence Nick Murray, exploring collective memory, digital cultures, and community archiving. Through interactive installations and storytelling, the exhibition invites visitors to consider how shared knowledge can be preserved and reimagined.
As part of the exhibition, We All Go Together offers a relaxed unconference where everyone is welcome to share ideas, lead discussions, or explore new ways of building community.
Exhibition: 26–30 March, 11am–5pm
Free, all welcome
Unconference: 29 March, 11am–4pm
