Funding for Music-Based Community Projects

Metal For Good is offering grants for community groups, charities, and other not-for-profit organisations across England and Wales to deliver projects and activities that music as a tool for change and help to create a more equal society.

Proposed projects should focus on one or more of the following themes:

  • Helping young people (aged between 0 and 24) to thrive.
  • Addressing inequalities.
  • Improving wellbeing.

The following levels of funding are available:

  • One grant of £3,000.
  • Two grants of £2,000.
  • Three grants of £1,000.

Funding can be used to help an organisation provide new services or expand pre-existing ones. 

The deadline for applications is 22 August 2024. 

The following are not eligible for funding:

  • Contributions to general appeals or circulars.
  • Religious activity which is not for wider public benefit.
  • Public bodies to carry out their statutory obligations.
  • Activities that solely support animal welfare.
  • Retrospective costs.
  • Grantmaking by other organisations.
  • Privately owned and profit-distributing companies or limited partnerships.
