Grants of up to £1,000 are available from The Kensington and Chelsea Foundation for events and activities such as cultural and celebration events, school holiday activities, workshops and sports tournaments. The majority of the beneficiaries must be residents of Kensington and Chelsea.
This small grants fund is for one-off and short-term events (which last no longer than 6 weeks and are not part of an organisation’s day-to-day work).
Who can apply:
Local voluntary and community groups, faith groups, residents' associations and CICs limited by guarantee. Your organisation/group must be based in Kensington and Chelsea and/or have an established reputation for working locally.
Applications for projects in the south of the borough and from grassroots organisations working with minoritised or excluded communities are of particular interest.
Project Criteria:
Project proposals will be assessed against the following criteria:
- How well does the project address the aims of the fund?
- How clear is the intended impact of the project and is there an evaluation plan?
- Strength of the organisation's connection to Kensington and Chelsea
Importance of the Community Spirit funding to the success of the event
How to apply:
There is no deadline and applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Organisations should apply at least six weeks before the start of the project.
