KCSC hosted the Money Worries training at Kensington Town Hall in May 2022. The session brought together 80 front- line-workers from the community and voluntary sector. The session started with a presentation from Abby Preston from the Independent Food Aid Network about the 'cash first' approach to food insecurity. The session demonstrated how using the RBKC Money Worries Leaflet residents can be signposted to agencies that can provide help and advice with issues arising from the rising cost of living.
The second session gave participants the opportunity to 'ask an advisor' on issues effecting residents. We were lucky to be joined by representatives from Campden Charities, Crosslight, Nucleus Legal advice and Age UK who took questions from the floor on a range of cost of living issues.
Feedback from the session was extremely positive and another session is planned for Spring 2024.
