Stephen has spent most of his career working in the social housing sector, and for the final twenty years at the National Housing Federation where he was responsible for the economic and financial policy work. More recently Stephen was on the boards of Kensington Housing Trust and Catalyst Gateway, Catalyst Housing’s community development arm. As a local resident he has also been a member of many local voluntary sector boards, including acting chair on two occasions at the Pepper Pot Centre, and has been extensively involved in grant giving.
Having been the Notting Hill Social Council’s second treasurer in the 1960s, Stephen returned to the KCSC board in 2015, and is now Vice Chair and a member of its Personnel and Finance Sub-Committee. He also represents Notting Hill Methodist Church as a member organisation of the Social Council.
