Submitted by PatriciaB on

The purpose of the SEA (Sapphire Employability Academy) Mentoring Pack is to provide structured guidance and support to young people to help them achieve their career goals and improve their employability skills. It aims to increase their independence, abilities, and freedom to thrive while reducing unemployment, mental health issues, crime rates, and homelessness. The mentoring pack facilitates the matching of mentors and mentees based on skills and experience, offering resources and guidelines to ensure a productive and impactful mentoring relationship.

Mentee Responsibilities

Mentees are responsible for actively engaging with their mentors, seeking guidance, and demonstrating a willingness to learn and grow. They should come prepared with specific questions, challenges, or goals they wish to address during their interactions. By showing initiative and being open to feedback, mentees can maximize the benefits of mentorship.

Mentor Responsibilities

Mentors are tasked with providing guidance, sharing expertise, and offering constructive feedback to mentees. They should create a safe space for mentees to express themselves and their concerns openly. Mentors also play a pivotal role in setting realistic expectations, helping mentees navigate challenges, and encouraging them to develop their skills and knowledge.
