Great News for Local Charities!
KCSC is thrilled to announce that London scaffolding firm Mattison* has set up a £25,000 Community Chest Fund to help local voluntary groups! If you're a charity or community interest company in North Kensington, you can apply for £1,000 - £5,000 to improve your premises.
What Can You Use the Funding For?
This fund is here to help you enhance your space, so you can better serve the community. You could use the money for things like:
- Minor structural work (fixing up walls, doors, etc.)
- Painting and decorating
- New fixtures and fittings
- Essential equipment (e.g., office gear, kitchen appliances)
Who Can Apply?
- Charities and community interest companies with a bank account
- Based in North Kensington
- Serving mostly local residents, including those affected by the Grenfell fire
- Premises must be used for community activities
What’s Not Covered?
- Work that landlords, tenants, utility firms, or the Council should handle
- Any work requiring permission (you must get approval first!)
- You’ll need to provide receipts, photos of purchases, and before/after pictures of completed work

KCSC will manage the process, with funding decisions made by KCSC and Mattison.
