Winter Community Funding Grant

Deadline

Grants of up to £3,500 are available to local not-for-profit groups from the NHS's North West London Integrated Care System  for projects which engage vulnerable communities and support them in making decisions about their health in the eight boroughs of North West London.

Higher amounts will be considered for projects covering multiple groups or areas. The North West London area covers Barnet, Brent, Camden, Ealing, Harrow, Hillingdon, Islington, Kensington & Chelsea.

Groups must show how they will:

  • Engage in meaningful conversations with community members to share important health messages.
  • Collect qualitative feedback on the community's motivations and barriers regarding vaccinations.
  • Reach diverse groups
  • Provide detailed reports on their activities, the number of people reached, demographic information, and the qualitative feedback collected.

Grants should be used to support outreach work into local communities, with a focus on the following priority groups:

  • Areas of high deprivation where there are often poorer health outcomes.
  • Ethnicities who would consider themselves seldom heard.
  • Those who are new to North West London and/or the UK.
  • Homeless individuals.
  • Asylum seekers.
  • People not registered with a GP.
  • Child and parents (especially around the children's flu vaccination).
  • Pregnant women (especially for vaccination messages).

Projects should be completed by the end of February 2025.
