HAVE YOUR SAY ON HOW ETHNICALLY DIVERSE COMMUNITIES IN KENSINGTON AND CHELSEA SHOULD BE MORE INVOLVED IN LOCAL DECISION MAKING
Kensington and Chelsea is a very ethnically diverse borough and it is vital that all communities should have a voice in local decision making. This is where the council’s Charter for Public Participation plays an important role in how you can and should have your say in the decisions the council makes about the areas you/your client groups live in.
What is the Charter for Public Participation?
The Charter is part of the Council’s legal constitution on how they involve local people in decision making about the area they live in. It was developed originally in 2019 following an external review after the Grenfell fire. You can view the current Charter here.

Do you think your voice and the voice of the communities you work with are listened to? If not why and how can this be improved? We’ll be joined by Oliva Schelts-Harris (Head of Consultation and Participation; RBKC) who is leading on the Charter for public Participation consultation at the council, so let’s have the conversation.
