This free online session will help you and your organisation to stay up-to-date with the latest changes in employment law.
2025 is set to bring several important changes to employment law. This session will help staff and employers stay ahead of the changes. We will outline recent changes in employment law including holiday pay and entitlement, flexible working, carers leave, special protection for employees on family leave and paternity leave.
This session will cover:
- What are Labour’s plans for employment law? Including the new Employment Law Rights Bill
- Employment status - the latest decisions on workers/employee/self-employed status
- Contracts of employment
- Unfair dismissal and redundancy - new laws protecting employees from redundancy for pregnancy, family leave, adoption leave and shared parental leave. The latest position on fire and rehire and plans for unfair dismissal rights from the first day of employment
- Discrimination and the Equality Act 2010, changes around sexual harassment and the Worker Protection Act 2023
This session is useful for all staff and employers and will be run by the RBKC HR team.
This training is for representatives of local voluntary and community organisations operating in the borough of Kensington & Chelsea. It is not open to members of the public.
