Emergency First Aid at Work - One Day Training

Registration is closed for this event
This 6 hour course is a great introduction to First Aid training. Learners will leave with the confidence to deal with emergency life threatening situations in a competent way. The course is fully accredited and certifies you as a first aider.

Small organisations with an annual income of less than £250,000 are eligible to attend this 6-hour accredited course. It is recommended for those who work in a low-risk environment (office, gym, retail etc.). No prior knowledge of the topic is required. Upon successful completion, each student is awarded with a HSE recognised certificate which is valid for 3 years.

Employers’ legal duties

The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 require employers to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities and personnel to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. These regulations apply to all workplaces, including those with less than five employees and to the self employed. Read more about the regulations on the government website. First aid regulations relating to the workplace will be covered as part of the course.
