This session delivered by professionals from Spectra London is aimed at anyone working with young people and will include sexual health information and tips for having effective conversations with young people about sex and relationships.
Areas being explored are as follows:
- The factors which influence young people's decision making around sex and relationships.
- Gaining a greater understanding of the impact of media – including pornography – on young people's expectations and experiences of relationships.
- Having greater awareness of the factors which can help or hinder conversations about sex and relationships.
- Why there may be reluctance to access services.
- Developing strategies and tools to make your own conversations with young people easier.
There will be an oppotrunity to ask questions during the session.
Also running as part of the Sexual Health Forum training offer is Supporting Safer Sex Working and Introduction to Chemsex on Tuesday 21 March, 11.00am - 12.30pm.
This training is for representatives of local voluntary and community organisations operating in the boroughs of Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster. It is not open to members of the public.
