This practical workshop will introduce local groups and organisations with income <£250k to the do's and don'ts of accessible marketing. Attendees will finish the session having put together an engaging, inclusive promotional flyer using the free online design tool, Canva.
Accessibility most directly helps disabled and older people, but all audiences benefit from inclusive design. During the first part of the session, we will look at proven tips and techniques to make sure everyone can access information about your organisation, its activities and events.
The second part of the session will be a practical introduction to designing posters and flyers on Canva. Through guided activities and peer feedback, you will create an engaging, accessible flyer using the suite.
You will finish the session feeling more confident about using Canva to create visually engaging content that can be enjoyed and understood by everyone.
This is an interactive, remote session (via Zoom). Attendees will need access to a laptop/desktop computer, as well as a free or paid-for Canva account, in order to participate.
Due to this workshop having limited spaces, groups and organisations with the highest need will be prioritised. In this instance, please only register to attend if you meet the following criteria:
- The annual income of your group or organisation is below £250,000
- Your group or organisation does not have a paid marketing role
If you register and find you will not be able to attend, please inform us as soon as possible.
This training is for representatives of local voluntary and community organisations operating in the borough of Kensington & Chelsea. It is not open to members of the public.
