For the last six weeks residents and members of charity/CiC staff from North Kensington have been taking part in an innovative training programme called "Create a Buzz". The training focuses on learning the skills that lie behind the technique of holding meetings and other spaces - known as hosting. This technique is called "World Cafe". There has been a good take-up of the training. It is anticipated that there will be a public event during the Easter Weekend in the North of Kensington. If this goes well KCSC are keen to see a wider take-up of the training for subsequent cohorts in the months to come. So watch this space. One participant said "It's been great, such a mix of people with so many good ideas. Honestly, the learning I'm taking away is already helping what with new skills and new connections - what's not to like?" |
