Brilliant New Training Opportunity
KCSC is pleased to be assisting a great new local initiative intent on increasing the talent within our communities to engage in community development and empowerment.

A group of community activists have been toiling away for several months to increase the depth of the community's involvement in building a much more engaging future for all, a future they - the community - have modelled and not merely been consulted on.
In order to achieve this, the activists have enlisted the support of "Community Organisers" a national, non-profit membership body and training organisation for community organising in England.
We are looking at enlisting as many as 25 community members, these can be residents of North Kensington only or those who live and work in North Ken for charities, C.I.C's or campaigns.
The first session is this Saturday, with the location to be announced. This session is a gateway to four further sessions in April which are intended to build a solid foundation to community development and engagement. There will be further events later down the line.
To participate in this programme of events we are looking for a level of commitment to complete the training as spaces are limited to 25 maximum. We are particularly interested in people who want to play a greater role in building North Ken's future as well as those who are already involved in local charities, live in the area and want to play a greater role themselves in their community.

Men's Shed update....
I so want to let people know... but it isn't my news but... we have a Men's Shed. It is real and it is on its way! Please look out for more information. But if you have neighbours, clients or people you know start mentioning it because in late summer will see the launch... Target audience Men over 55.. Hopefully, the next KCSC E-Bulletin will have the full story. Thanks for the support on this.
