The grant allocation to voluntary organisations in 2010-11 for services that benefit people who live and work in the Royal Borough has been announced. Those organisations that are directly affected received notification in mid December 2009.

In total 21 applicants requested grants amounting to £2,161,799. In addition 6 organisations are currently midway through three year agreements which means the grand total was £2,646,479. Only 3 of the applicants were organisations that are not currently funded.

The provisional Corporate Services total grant budget for 2010-11 is £2,123,260 which means there was a discrepancy of £523,219 between the amount requested and the amount available. As a result several organisations did not receive the full amount they requested.
