Voluntary Advice Agencies Forum
Voluntary Advice Agencies Forum (VAAF) is an alliance of the main advice providers in Kensington & Chelsea. We meet five times a year.
Our aims and objectives include:
- to assess and periodically review the current level of provision of advice services in order to ensure that people have access to appropriate services when and where they need them;
- to co-ordinate the future funding of services;
- to facilitate the development of referral arrangements;
- to encourage new initiatives in the delivery of advice services;
- to try and mitigate the need for advice services by identifying common problems that lead to a need for advice and developing working partnerships with statutory authorities in order to identify better ways of working.

Advice Now
Advice Now's main aim is to improve and support the provision of local advice services; by developing a long-term collaborative, strategic approach to the planning, delivery, promotion and commissioning of advice services that meet the needs of all service users in the borough.
This will be achieved by joining up advice services across the borough across and the statutory and voluntary sector. The network will build on existing partnership arrangements between advice agencies in the delivery of general and specialist services.
The network will also be extended to incorporate community groups who may have no formal advice role but need better knowledge of issues, boundaries and referral procedures.
